As a Certified ORB Auditor, Alistair has been trained, certified and licensed by the Organisation for Responsible Businesses (ORB) to audit companies to The Responsible Business Standard. You can read more about the Responsible Business Standard in a previous article posted on this blog here. The standard is aimed at SME’s to help them demonstrate ‘best-practice’ and to be doing ‘the right thing’ in regard to legislation, the community, the environment, its processes and its employees. Certification is available in 3 grades – Gold, Silver and Bronze. Certification is becoming recognised by purchasing bodies and is being embraced by tender and contract schemes. It is an affordable and attainable method of achieving competitive advantage.
